Black Dome’s Asheville Outdoors Guide

Hey all.

This Thursday, September 18th, the Reel Rock Film Tour will be in town.  It will be showing in the theater at the Asheville Pizza Co. on Merrimon Ave.  We’re sponsoring the event locally and we have lots of door prizes.  Pizza, beer, sick climbing films on the big screen, and prizes; what could be more exciting on a Thursday night?

We are selling tickets from our store at 140 Tunnell Rd. in Asheville.  We can be reached (locally) at 828-251-2001 or toll-free at 1-800-678-2367 if you have any questions or would like us to hold a few tickets for you.  Keep in mind, this this has sold out the past two years.

Hey folks!  Looking for something fun to get into?  Our friends at Mountin’ Hopes out in Mars Hill are putting on a pretty awesome 5K and a walk-a-thon pretty soon.  This funraiser will help keep their theraputic horseback riding service going strong.  

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a nature therapy program that takes place right here in our gorgeous mountains.

The guy in the middle is the reigning Shut-In Ridge and Rock2Rock champ…The guy on the left took second at both of those (as well as winning the Dupont Forest National Trail Marathon Championships) and the guy on the right won the 2008 Mt. Mitchell Challenge. All three of ‘em took 1st through 3rd at Rock2Rock.

Together, they just took the silver at the NACAC Mountain Championships…Not too bad for country boys…
