Hey… we saw about an inch or two of snow up at the top of BigBald from the /first snow of the year! It was sooo cold up there….about 23 degrees in the upper gate parking area…then the hike up to the summit…where the wind was really blowing…and maybe gusting to 25 or 30 mph… I think my windchill figure was in the -minus 10 Fahrenheit range or worse that day! We could only stay up there about 5mins.. the chill on bare skin of faces ..hands…was really something else! I guess we should have gotten out all of our skiing gear…but in October? Well we are all hoping our WolfLaurel will get lots of snow this year for snowshoeing and skiing! Viva…. el “Wolff”.. !
